Community and Economic Development
In 1992, through programs such as the Comprehensive Community Revitalization Program (and later the Neighborhood Preservation Program), MBSCC began to focus on community development and addressed the need for planning in the neighborhoodds, having identified gaps  in services available to the community.  As part of these initiatives, MBCC formed neighborhood-based coalitions and alliances in order to achieve the desired change and began the delivery of services that would transform the community.  The result of these coalitions is: the formation of the 161st Street Business Improvement District, the Neighborhood Preservation Program and the AFH Small Business Incubator.
